About Aki Streeter
Aki Streeter is the self proclaimed “Worst Musician in the Universe” and an architect of audio visual art. Active in the underground scene since 2019 with roots playing bass tracing back to age nine, the Austrian maniac has commanded every core instrument in live band settings. The musical expertise covers synthesizers, drums, guitars and bass. This drive has engineered a discography of over 1000 tracks. The sonic output ranges from industrial noise and raw black metal to dark ambient and avant garde reggae, accompanied by global gorenoise and grindcore splits released everywhere from Mexico to Indonesia. The artistic execution is entirely DIY and practical. This approach led American music critics to publish long video essays dissecting the awfulness of the catalog.
The musical journey began in the project The Cripples. By 2021 Aki Streeter founded Heimwerker and defined the genre of Post Apocalyptic Province Punk. The constellation soon spawned a spin off named Geheimwerker. This tactical mutation was forced into existence because the band demanded Aki Streeter have less creative control and perform conventionally nice songs composed by others.
Another pillar of the catalog is Misanthropic Planet. With the original drummer currently in rehab on the island of Crete, the project morphed into the solo live act Aki Streeter Plays: Misanthropic Planet. Live performances have caused documented scandals and purposefully lost band contests across Europe. Since 2025 Aki actively curates underground extreme events under the banner Aki Streeter Mad Multiverse, uniting international freaks on stage.
The collaboration roster breaks boundaries. Aki Streeter has worked with Austrian avant garde artist Martin Philadelphy, known for collaborations with Marc Ribot and Trevor Dunn. The maniac also executed a conceptual album with New Zealand children music composer Peter Weatherall, bridging 18000 kilometers of audio decay. All obscure releases, splits and multiversal projects are consolidated under the imprints Tsar Bomba Records and Unterlabel.
The mistake Streeter frequently manifests as bizarre alter egos, including the fictional character Rieder Lojz or the Russian reporter Alexej Kakanovich, who explored the state of Carinthia. Beyond the stage, Aki Streeter routinely curates visual art exhibitions alongside Erich “Ygitt” Pacher, multiple podium place winner of the Kärntner Lyrikpreis.
Aki Streeter is a versatile asset in physical performance and visual media, active in voice acting and dubbing. The theatrical resume includes stage performances in Asyl (Klagenfurter Ensemble, 2017) and Stunk (UNIKUM Klagenfurt, 2019). On screen, Aki Streeter appears in VADA cinematic projects such as Linea Due and 2020: A Grace Odyssey.
Beyond sound and film Aki Streeter is the author of Gosology. This is a philosophical worldview and multimedia lore. In the Gosology universe a nerd named Dave created the world and shares a flat with a Professor and a Pineapple. Within this lore the planet Mars is entirely ruled by animals, dominated by the most powerful deity called Sefgos, a tree entity. Aki documents this universe through books, raw texts and brutal audio visual archiving.
